Before going any further go to Gallery>Post Process and study the two images. The final image was achieved by:1. The white balance was set to flash, which was too warm and this was cooled down in RAW.
2. The exposure was adjusted slightly to ensure the background was white and the over exposed elements pulled back in RAW after which the image was opened.
3. Using the healing brush [not spot healing], the spot on the model's chin was removed.
4. By roughly selecting round the eyes and feathering to 15, the light was adjusted in levels so that it is more even.
5. Copy the work into a new adjustment layer at this stage.
6. Add gaussian blur at a strength of 25 then reduce opacity to about 50 so that you can see what is going on in the layer below.
7. Using a layer mask, selectively remove the gaussian blur from the eyes at 100% strength then move on to shaping the nose with a brush strength of about 70. Do the same for the lips at a brush strength of about 90.
8. Play with the opacity of the gausian blur layer until happy.
9. Add a Glamour Glow [more on this next time]
10. Crop - job done. Enjoy.
