2-Hit Method

1. In RAW conversion adjust the exposure so that the land is correctly exposed and save this image as a TIFF called, "Land".

2. In RAW conversion expose the same image as in 1 above, but adjust exposure to get the best sky. Save this image as a TIFF called, "Sky".

3. Open both land and sky images.

4. Drag the sky image over the land image using the move tool; place the move tool over the image to be dragged and hold down the left mouse button then also hold down the shift button as well. Drag the sky on to the land then release the mouse button and afterwards the shift key - the sky image is now a new layer directly over the land image.

5. Add a layer mask.

6. Select the gradient tool ensuring it is linear style and foreground to background.

7. Ensure white is the foreground colour.

9. Click the mouse button half way down the sky [gradient tool] and drag to halfway down the land and release.
